SINGAPORE — Digital travel platform Agoda and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) have launched the fifth edition of the Eco Deals program, extending a multi-year partnership aimed at advancing wildlife protection and habitat conservation across Asia. The 2026 rollout coincides with the signing of a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing both organizations’ long-term commitment to sustainable tourism and regional conservation initiatives.
Now entering its fifth year, the Eco Deals program will maintain its highest funding commitment to date, allocating US$1.5 million to support conservation efforts in 10 Asian markets. Since its launch in 2022, the initiative has generated US$2.89 million for WWF-led conservation projects, contributing to the protection of endangered species and critical ecosystems throughout the region.
The 2026 Eco Deals campaign officially launched on 19 January, beginning with a month-long anniversary promotion offering travelers discounts of up to 20% at participating properties. Following the initial campaign, Eco Deals will continue as a year-round program, providing savings of up to 15% on eligible bookings until 18 December. Travelers can identify participating hotels through dedicated program pages and on-site markers across Agoda’s digital platforms.
As with previous editions, Agoda will donate US$1 to WWF’s conservation programs for every completed booking made through Eco Deals-participating properties.
Expanding Regional Impact
Eco Deals enables accommodation partners to directly support conservation priorities across Asia, helping safeguard the natural environments that underpin tourism and local livelihoods. In 2025, the program expanded to nearly 10,000 participating properties, reflecting growing engagement from the hospitality sector.
Funds raised through Eco Deals have supported initiatives such as protecting the Malayan tiger in Malaysia, safeguarding Asian elephants in Thailand, and conserving whale sharks in the Philippines. These efforts align with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, particularly the global “30×30” goal to place 30% of the world’s land and oceans under effective protection by 2030.
Participating accommodation partners receive an Eco Deals badge, signaling their support for conservation across Asia. Properties also benefit from enhanced visibility through Agoda’s marketing ecosystem, including banner placements, customer communications, social media features, and in-app discovery. Dedicated program pages across Agoda’s desktop and mobile platforms further highlight Eco Deals properties, and participating partners receive a certificate upon the program’s conclusion.
Industry and Conservation Perspectives
“Eco Deals reflects five years of collaboration with WWF to support conservation efforts to protect Asia’s most remarkable destinations, alongside a growing network of accommodation partners,” said Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President, Supply, Agoda. “The signing of a new five-year MoU with WWF is a testament to our shared vision and action for long-term conservation and industry collaboration. In the past year alone, the program has seen participating properties grow by more than 45%, with strong momentum in markets like Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia. But what’s most rewarding is seeing how Eco Deals has become a platform for hotels to differentiate themselves, connect with sustainability-minded travelers and contribute to meaningful conservation work across Asia.”
“Nature is a source of wonder and a vital lifeline for communities and wildlife,” said Hsieh Fu Hua, Chairman, WWF-Singapore. “Eco Deals shows how the tourism industry can actively contribute to nature-positive outcomes while creating value for travelers and destinations alike. By working across markets and a broad network of stakeholders, this partnership helps link local conservation priorities with regional coordination to protect nature today and for future generations.”
Looking Ahead
With a global network of accommodation and travel offerings, Agoda said it remains focused on advancing responsible travel initiatives across Asia. Through the renewed partnership with WWF, the company is encouraging hotel partners to participate in the 2026 Eco Deals program and support conservation efforts across the region.
